INDIVIDUAL THERAPY
Are you feeling anxious, isolated, and overwhelmed?
You are not alone. Many expats living abroad experience these types of feelings. I experienced them too, when I first moved to the Netherlands back in 2000. My goal is to help you find your way back to a more fulfilling life, regardless of where you are living.
Integrative Psychotherapy
All people are equal, yet you are one-of-a-kind. Therefore, not one particular form of therapy, method, or model is suitable for you.
Integrative psychotherapy involves combining various methods based on your individual needs. Using these different models, I will create a custom made treatment program that is just for you.
The aim of integrative psychotherapy is to activate the healthy components within your personality in order for you to discover what you need to make self-governed decisions, solve your own issues and reach your full potential. My role as the therapist is to guide and support you through this process.

The Therapy Process
During the therapy process we will focus on your current situation, how you are coping at present and what you want to accomplish.
After establishing a safe and secure therapeutic relationship, we will explore your inner resources and how they relate to your thoughts, feelings and actions. From there you will be able make new choices and achieve your therapy goals.
You are unique, therefore you will progress at your own pace. The average length of treatment varies from 5-30 sessions. Appointments are usually held weekly or once every two weeks.

Issues and Treatment Methods
I work with clients who are struggling with a wide variety of issues and I utilize several different treatment modalities.
The following list provides examples of both the issues I work with and some of the treatment methods I am trained in.
- Sex counseling for issues with low-desire, body-acceptance, achieving orgasm, premature ejaculation, and pain during sex
- Rumination-Focused Exposure and Response Prevention (RF-ERP) for anxiety and OCD symptoms
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) for stress, anxiety, depression, low motivation, and sexual issues
- Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) for stress, anxiety, and depression
- Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) for developing self-acceptance and increasing self-esteem
- Polyvagal Theory combined with the above-mentioned methods, for clients with anger, stress, anxiety, and burn-out
there is a path forward
If you feel like you’ve lost your way, you don’t have to go it alone
